Another way out

by Lara   Jul 19, 2004

Shes one of the popular kids,
the one you always see
surrounded by her friends.
Everyone loves her
but she doesn't love herself.
She doesn't want to be here
when she goes home at night
she cries herself to sleep.
She slashes at her wrists
but makes sure she doesn't go too deep.
Tonight is different
she doesn't want tomorrow to come.
The blade is too dull
she must find another way.
She tells her mother shes going to lay down to take a nap.
Too bad her mom doesn't know that will be the last time she sees her baby girl.
When she gets in her room shes got a rope.
She says her sorrys and goodbyes in a tiny note.
A couple hours later when her mom goes to wake her.
The door is locked, she cant get in.
She pushes and pushes and finally gets through the door
to find her daughter hanging a few feet off the floor.
