The devasting Night

Karl was in the drivng seat ,
With Kelli by his side .
We were all excited ,
Kel was to be his bride .

In the back sat me and Ben ,
I had given him a smack .
I was just smiling ,
And he was smiling back .

We had all been drinking ,
Vodka and Taboo .
It was really stupid ,
But we had all had a few .

How were we to know ,
What would happen next .
Karl reached into his pocket to get his phone ,
He had just recieved a text .

The car went skidding ,
Right off the road .
We had been hit by a truck ,
With a heavy load .

The car fell over ,
I heard a crack .
I sat forward ,
We had landed on a track .

Everything was quite ,
But then i heard a train .
The nightmare was not over ,
Neither was the pain .

The train zoomed past ,
I was relieved .
Karl wake up! ,
Kelli grieved .

I looked at Ben ,
He was white .
I grabbed his hand ,
And held it tight .

Then i heard sirens ,
from all around .
At last they were coming ,
We had been found .

We were rushed to the hospital ,
As soon as they could .
It was tricky ,
There was so much blood .

At the hospital i was ok ,
So i went for a wonder to Bens bed .
I sat and cried then i was told ,
Karl was dead .

Kelli came in ,
We both just cried .
Her fiance and my friend ,
Had just died .

Kelli was bleeding ,
A real mess .
She had blood on her forehead ,
And a rip on her dress .

We sat and remembered ,
All the good times .
The love , the jokes ,
And even the crimes .

I smiled at Kelli ,
To let her know i was there .
I had to be strong ,
I had to care .

But then it all went wrong ,
Kelli went mad .
She screamed of pain ,
It was bad .

The nurses rushed in ,
Through the door .
Kelli was laid out ,
Cold on the floor .

Then things got worse ,
Bens heart rate dropped .
Within 30 seconds ,
It had stopped .

5 minutes later ,
They both were dead .
I could not think straight ,
In my head .

Karl , Kel and Ben ,
Had all passed on .
I was on my own ,
The others had gone .
