The day you turned twelve,
I handed you a book.
Though you were confused,
You opened it and took a look.

Instead of being filled with words,
Pictures where held inside.
I had a feeling the end was near,
So this was my attempt to stride.

I Spent so many night,
Reliving all the days,
The times we spent together,
Our friend’s journeys, and ways

All my time and energy,
Where put onto each page.
I hoped that if I did my best,
The thing to disappear would be your rage.

I watched your face,
As you pondered.
You looked confused,
Your eyes seemed to wander.

“Don’t you remember all our times?”
The ones we spent with each other.
Did they disappear in your mind,
One after another??

Obviously we are different,
Our minds don’t work the same.
I kept each memory in my mind,
But to you my time just a game.

My mother told me to make a copy,
Of the book I gave to you,
I said no, ill always remember Katie,
But she obviously knew.

This friendship’s end was soon,
It couldn’t last much longer,
You said I was to ‘outgoing’
Though ill say I miss you,
you made me so much stronger.
