Fast Streets

by Silent   Jul 23, 2004

Warm summer nights
And a fast car back street
Crowded singles bars
With a live rock and roll beat
Every where tonight
There's two people meeting
Both hoping to find
All the things they believe in

For we all live alone
Trapped with our feelings
In behind their thin walls
Which no one can see in
We struggle with the balance
Of what we have
And what is needed
Trying some how to make it
Always come out even.

For in the quiet
After no one is near
The wind whispers the secrets
We could not find here

    Wow
I wrote that back in 1980 driving home from work.
It was a payday Friday and my band was playing that night. I was the sound man.

    It was summer! Duh

But I could never finish the last paragraph for years till tonight. This site inspired me. So there it is for the world. I will check your stuff out right now

    . Thanks for the feedback.

    Peace, Chris
