Willow Tree

by Lisa   Jul 25, 2004

My life is like a willow tree,
Day by day sinking further to the bottom of the sea.
My hands reaching high, as if trying to touch the sky.
I scream for help as I begin to cry,
Nobody hears me so I silently sigh.
I wish this tragedy would end,
I wish my broken heart could mend.
Love has left me once more,
He took my heart and walked out my door.
He will probably never return,
This lesson I guess I will never learn.
My heart has been hung out to dry,
Someday it will whither and die.
I hope he's satisfied with that he's done,
My heart has now turned to ash with the first glimps of the morning sun.
Now I lay at the bottom of the muddy sea where in time I will be forgotten.
So when the sea dries up all that will be left are traces of love that was really lust.
