THE BEARS

THE BEARS

You are the girl, I see in my dream,
we are out camping by yon mountain stream,
while we were camped by the river so bright,
a big old bear came wandering by us, early one night,
you were as frightened as you could be,
then you came running, straight to me,
you held to me tightly, afraid to let go,
then you whispered to me , God, I've got to go,
I went to the river and started to laugh,
there was the bear just taking a bath,
I went back and got you, so you could laff too,
there was the whole bare bear family , they were bathing too,
there was old poppa in water so deep,
next came the momma her clothes in a heap,
then there was baby just wetting his feet,
we went to our tent and started to grin,
in no time at all the bears came walking right in,
they brought us some honey to trade for a ham,
but we had none with us just some cans of spam,
they swapped with us even , and we were so glad,
that they were soon leaving, greatest scare that we had.
