My love was...

by brin macnamara   Jul 29, 2004

She was the Sun that I orbit,
The heart of my universe.
The moon that gave me light to dream.
My star flaring and radiant with the luminosity of ten million supa novas.
In her shadow I was little more than a celestial white dwarf.
Dull.
Cold.

Yet now, how can I be expected to have purpose in a universe lacking her?
My life diminished, spirit floating in a silent void
A cavity where neither Passion, Beauty nor Love survive.

Our Love had the energy of a million Suns,
The radiance that gave me permission to grow and to be.
My future cannot be foreseen
Only now enabled with her prayers.
