Hungry

by Rune Larsen   Jul 30, 2004

Why won't she fold?
Am I that dis-likable?
Or am I in a twilight zone?
I'm like a girl who got dumped
If I had ice cream I would eat hungry or not.
I'm not…
Hungry.

I'll have to settle for chocolate and vanilla.
Non-diet.
Tears and cigarettes.
Nothing tastes good right now.
The tears like sweat and the cigarettes like…
Cigarettes.

I've forgotten how she tasted
Or even smelled that time long ago
But I know I would appreciate everything.
Her smell
Her taste
Her every syllable
For she I'm…
Hungry.
