The Reconsider Psalm

by Rune Larsen   Jul 30, 2004

In her pretty boy-begging face
I bid her goodnight
I hope you sleep tight
If you dream of me coming back
To make another remorseless attack
Remember me as I am
And not just whom I might be

But please sleep tight, dear
It's isn't your fault
Sleep tight on your bloodied sheets
On your continues repeated defeats
Remember the place I told you about
Remember where I am
I'm not where you picture others to be

And Here I am
Dead
But fear not, It's not all you
Dead in my obscurity
Alone yet again
In the dark I have created
At peace for brief moments at a time
Soon I have to rise above my deadness
To turn the lights on
To face life once again
To face you and friends again
