Fading Friendships

by Erica   Jul 31, 2004

In the depths of fading friendships...

The endless moments of independence

Covered by loneliness in the blurry midst and dismay,

Longing a thought, not carried and blown away

Staring at darkness, crystals in the skies,

Hearing the sadness, the pain, and the cries

The cheshire smile so open and sweet,

Wanting forgiveness but willing to cheat

The rough road taken with jagged ends,

Feeling more jaded, no support of friends

Back to the past of pure, peace, and serene,

It's all a reverie; a day of dreams

The ending moments of independence,

In the depths of fading friendships...
