just tell me if you understand
i told this boy i loved him
and i wanted him to be my man

he said that he liked me
very much in fact
but he didn't know if he
could handle a relationship like that

i looked at him as my eyes
filled w/ tears
he gently touched my face
and whispered softly in my ears

“One day we'll be together
if God knows its true
I'll be w/ you forever
all my love I'll give to you ! “

i replied to him slowly
what if its not true
what if God says we are not meant for each other
who will i turn too ?

He then looked into my eyes
my darling sweetheart what can i say
if were not meant for each other then
that God's way
