My Wish

Last year I made a Christmas Wish
I wished to be loved by YOU!
Then Santa came along
And gave me all the love from YOU!

The next year went by
We seemed to be doing great
Then I became the girl
That made it hard for you to date

I fought and I argued
About the stupidest things
I made it hard for you to go out
And do your little manly things

So sadly you ended it
My heart was broken in two
For the rest of the year
All I could think about was me and you

I constantly reminded myself
That you loved me and no one else
But as days then months went by
It seemed as thought I was kidding myself

So I tried to move on
I thought youâ??d be doing the same
But everyone reminded me of you
The only difference was they had a different name

So I decided Iâ??d wait for you
It was the best choice Iâ??ve made
It seemed my heart just couldnâ??t move on
And Iâ??m not the one to tell it how to behave

So now a year had gone by
Since Iâ??ve made that Christmas wish
I have two days to make another one
And Iâ??ve started with this

This new year coming up
Is a year for a lot of fun
We will be graduating from high school
And senior year will be done

I donâ??t want to get in the way
Of you doing what you want to do
But this is all Iâ??m going to ask from you
