If Time Turned Back

If time turned back to one year ago,
I would make everything go right.
I wouldn't be so afraid to love,
I would never let him out of my sight.

I wouldn't let myself be scared,
Of the adoration he had for me,
I wouldn't ignore the compliments he gave,
Or the little things he made me see.

I would tell him every day,
How he's the only one,
I'd forget our silly little fights,
And just let go and have fun.

I wouldn't lie to his face,
About scenarios untrue,
It all seems so stupid now,
I just wish back then I knew.

But time won't turn back...
And I can't make everything go right...
Now I'm even more afraid to love,
...and he's no longer in my sight.
