A Total Eclipse

by Stephanie Ricks   Aug 2, 2004

I place my head softly,
Upon your firm chest.
And listen to your echoing voice,
As your hand wonders about my mounding breasts.

I feel completely overwhelmed,
With an undefinable temptation.
I tremble at the very thought,
Of experiencing the complete sensation.

And it is in this place of darkness,
That drives us beneath the stars.
On this floating dock where the fire flies dance,
Around our urging hearts.

We've been to this familiar place,
And many times before.
But tonight an astounding eclipse,
has released utopia and that, we dared endure.

Our bodies raged like wild animals,
As if untamed beasts.
While we indulged in the sublimity,
Devouring the sweetness in this heavenly feast.
