ARVOIR

by Stephanie Ricks   Mar 6, 2008

Consumed by this world
of deceit,

I welcome pain till the day
is anew.

And I climb out of bed, but
do not land on my feet.

For another day mimics the ghastly
grays of natures hue,

But I can still feel the
heat,

In loving memories passing
through.

And in one last breath comes a sigh
before eternal sleep.
