Lure of the beast

by Jacki   Aug 5, 2004

They sit under the tunnel,
above them an abanded road.
There eyes shine bright,
and there teeth are fierce with fright.
About a half of century years old.

They sit all bundled under thick shrouds of fog.
Pretending to be hurt.

They change there appearance for
only small children.
For those are the best Eaton.
They have the most tender meat,
and this oh how I must add is what
they truly like.

You can hear them from a distance.
The chatter and the songs.
But let me warn you don't
be lured to there soft spoken sounds.

For when the creatures under the tunnel have there way with you.
They'll tear up up and eat alive, leaving nothing but empty bones.

So when you're walking along,
and you come to that tunnel.
Turn and run as fast as you can.
For if you don't and hear there song
you will never go back home.

I enjoyed that poem. It was fun and reminded me of trolls. I had to get rid of those troll dolls when I was really little because they scared me. This poem reminds me why I was scared. Very cute.
