Can you see the hurt in my eyes
can you see the truth behind my lies
can you see the pain inside of me
can you see the person I try to be

can you see the secrets that I keep
can you see why they are hidden so deep
can you see the agony that has arrived
can you see how many times I have cried

can you see the fury inside of me
can you see the fire that other people see
can you see hatred imprinted on my soul
can you see why I play this "normal girl" role

can you see what I long for
can you see that my heart is completely sore
can you see that all I want is peace of mind

But how can you...
you are blind

    Hey, this was a great poem! I can see exactly where you're coming from.

    I loved the way you repeated the 1st bit of each line! The repitition was very effective!

    You managed to put all your feelings into words AND make it rhyme, a hard combination! Great job!!
