Incomplete Dreams

by TAinted vįŕťues   Aug 7, 2004

These bleeding skies
God shedding golden tears
Pursuit of this illusive prize
God’s own flickering fears

In these imperfect casts
We ache for perfection
In this finite body
I hanker for infinity

As the sunsets
His scarlet blood across the sky
As darkness falls
There’s desperation in his eye

Maybe it was a dream
A dream gone astray
Maybe perfection’s a legend
Maybe this isn’t godsend

Bleeding across the skies
Fusing with hopeful eyes
Has Hope set with the sun??
Maybe god’s just human??

But I am going to
Live this dream
Hope’ inside of me
The light is inside of me

The darkness will fade away
And to you I pray
I’ll touch infinity
Even without wings

These chains that bind me
Her love will break me free
I’ll fly with her
And I’ll touch infinity
