Shattered Heartbeat

by Bryce Ellner   Aug 9, 2004

I can still see your image
Its plastered into my mind
No matter how hard I try
I can't get it out.

I fight back the tears
Every time I think of us.
And no matter what's in my mind.
You're still there in the back

My heartbeat has slowed
Ever since we were lost.
Sometimes it even feels like
I lose every other breathe.

In a few years I'll probably forget
And you'll be the last one in my mind.
But until then, just keep plaguing.
Because I'm not quite ready to lose you...yet.
