Healing

by Morgan   Aug 9, 2004

There's much more in store
When you live by words that have been said before
“The first cut is the deepest”, I know
And sometimes, the scars even show

All over my body is my life's work
Because my memories still lurk
And if you could look inside
You'd see a pain I've tried so hard to hide

My heart's been shattered to pieces
And with each broken bit, the pain increases
I sort of built this wall around me
So then the pain will be something you can't see

And I've learned to live with that ache
From bruises, cuts, and millions of heartbreaks
And I'll be able to deal with it all
Because I get tougher with each fall

So I'll let the first cuts heals
Forget about letting my pain be concealed
So then maybe I can let go
And keep living with all that I know

  • I really liked this. I was reading it and I could see the scars of life. I didn't give it a 5 though, as you can see. I alwaysa give a little constructive criticism. Your rhyne was excellent, but the rhythm got a little choppy. Thats about it though, everything else was top notch.
