One Minute

by Jason   Aug 9, 2004

One Millennia is a long time to pass
And civilisations can develop
But 1000 years later it’s the past
Like everything before.
One Hundred Years may be less
But still things can appear
Things grow and develop more
Through every passing year.
One Decade we can live through
Which leaves us wanting more
It’s a long time through which we can think
About what we have done before.
One year and its our birthday
Which is a cause for celebration
It can change the way we do things
And it can effect a whole nation.

One Month is what the letter says
Then you’ve got bills to pay
What’s sad is when you have no money
And problems they don't go away.
One fortnight and your on holiday
And your cares are far away
But your back to work on Monday
And thought has gone away.
One week and its payday
And tax is in your way
The world is your oyster
Or so people say.
One day can pass like lightening
And it seems everyone's in your way
And life can seem so frightening
But home is a safe place to stay.

One hour and its tea time
I think its soup today
My this food is tasty
It blows my taste buds away.
One minute and she loves you
And the next she’s gone away
And only bad thoughts follow you
In bed is where you stay.
One Second your standing upright
And the next your on the floor
The gun is where you dropped it
And your brains are on the door.
I’m happy when I’m with you
I smile when we’re together
One minute is a lifetime
And a lifetime lasts forever.
