DeaR motHEr, DeaR fAthEr

Mother and father of mine,
I am no longer your little girl,
The sweet princess,
Your perfect pearl.

I have grown up,
Not your little lulu belle,
You don’t have to run when I cry,
You don’t have to stop when I yell.

Bigger I am,
Older I’ve gotten,
Much I have changed,
But my childhood is not forgotten.

The older I get,
The more you say,
I resemble you,
Each and everyday.

The happiness is your eyes,
Is powerful enough for me,
To promise my love, to stay by your side,
That I can guarantee.

My future is rocky,
It isn’t in stone,
What you taught me Is enough for me,
To do it long as I am not alone.

I have seen the pictures, The smiling faces,
I know I was cared for,
And as long I’m living,
Your love will pour.

So I thank you,
And praise you,
Because if you hadn’t guided me,
I would not have grew.
