You Won't Come Back

by Jackie Bilson   Aug 10, 2004

Gazing longingly out the window,
Awaiting your return,
Listening to Usher on the radio,
But I can't let it burn.

It's been a million hour since you parted,
Haven't heard your voice in so long.
Am I crazy for believing,
That you leaving was wrong?

You promised I'd never hurt again,
I'm sorry but I'll never forget.
You brought more pain than happiness,
Yet there's nothing I regret.

I know you'll never come back.
But it's so hard to let it go.
Because I love you more than life itself,
And it hurts so much because I know that you know.
