The Lost Girl

by Jamie   Aug 12, 2004

Who is this girl?
Wasting away,
She walks all alone...
Counting each day...
I see tears of sorrow,
Dripping from her soul...
She cries to herself,
Wanting some control...
I see this girl's fears,
From the depths of her heart...
They eat away her spirit...
They tear her apart.
I look in the mirror...
It's me who I see...
But I feel locked in a body...
Praying to be set free...
She wants to feel real,
Wants to be loved...
These feeling pour out...
In trickles of blood.
How can I win this battle I live?
I have nothing left inside of me to give...
I hear nothing but silence...
See nothing but black...
She wonders one night...
If there's ever turning back....
