I am whO i am

These feelings that overwhelm ma heart
cast uncertain thoughts in ma mind
but i know the more time i have
the answers i am sure to find
people always telling me
what is wrong and what is right
disappointment and disgust
a blur clouds my sight
i am who i am
and love who i may
i must follow my heart
and thats all i need to say
i continue to care
and try to keep you satisfied
but my smile is washed away
my tears have done been cried
i am a strong person
so strong i try to be
it isn't life that brings this pain
it is you, who makes it hard for me
my mind will no longer dwell
on your hurtful words and eyes
i will no longer pay attention
to the rumors and the lies
if you really do care
and most claim you do
then lend to me your ears
give me someone to tell things to
be my friend
or be nothing to me
because the need for you
is much too hard to see.
