I Do

by Stephanie Ricks   Aug 12, 2004

You left me at our table,
As i sipped my glass of wine.
You said I'll only be a moment,
I'll return in no time.

So I sat and waited,
Listening to the romantic symphony.
When I heard your voice aloud,
Steph,will you marry me?

I looked turning in every way,
Yet you I could not see.
Then on stage you appeared,
Playing your guitar as you began to sing.

And babe you gave it your all,
To somehow give me the world.
And while my tears of joy began to fall,
I said I,ll always be your girl.

As I made my way into your arms,
You placed on my finger a diamond ring.
Saying this is only of sentimental value,
But it symbolizes my love and beginning of everything.
