Guilt

by Pei Hsin   Aug 16, 2004

Tonight I ran away
Because you said you didn't love me
I can dip into the darker side
Just taint my hands in blood

I wasn't given the opportunity to say goodbye
As my eyes soaked in tears
I watched you fly above me
Only able to question why

Redemption wasn't the answer
Only the guilt of being on time and not alone
I was too worried about my wings
Ten minutes ago, I thought it was a joke

Tonight I stand here on the porch
Waiting for you to come back, for its December
Dribbled into deep and I couldn't swim
I can only whisper your name
