Roads of Mind

by Raven   Aug 18, 2004

I wish that there were traffic lights on the roads of mind.
Then, they would be a little more kind.

I wish there were red lights so that boys,
would stop and know,
when they are moving too fast, when its time to go slow.

I wish there were yellow lights to say, move with care.
but for them to stop would be rare.

I wish there were green lights to show that I am willing,
And my love,
they would not be killing.

I wish I could hold up a no outlet sign,
and hold it above
To tell you there is no way out of
my love.

I wish I could hold up a no u-turn
sign,
to tell you not to turn around.
If I confess, of a love so sound.
You know that one you are not the road,
there is no turning back,
unless you want to my heart to crack.

Tears would slowly roll down this street,
the street would become a stream.
And my face would no longer beam.
The cars would no longer be able to
drive,
and I would never be able to feel.
A love again that was real.

If this poem seems a little messed up is b.c. the site was not working with my poem. Things it said were wrong, yet when I corrected them, they would make them wrong again?!?!?!? (do not understand) but everything is COOL!!!
