Day at the Beach

by Kristin   Aug 21, 2004

I can see the sand and the water splashing the rocks,
as the seagulls fly above me in their large flocks,
I feel the sun giving my face all the heat,
I feel so happy, I'm on easy street.

I love being away from all of the pain,
Everything here is just so plain.
I feel the wind blowing my long hair,
I close my eyes and I don't have a care.

I will have to leave from this wonderful land,
and for the last time run my toes through the sand.
I don't know if I'll be back again,
But I have to hurry up, I'm leaving at ten.

I pack up my bags and my sea shell,
I will go back home, or is it more like hell?
Whatever it may be I will hear them screech,
But I will always remember my day at the beach!
