The game of love

by Bia   Aug 24, 2004

He can look into my eyes,
and tell me how i feel.
he says one day ill win,
this hand was a misdeal.

i was so close to winning,
that i lost track and fell behind.
now only thoughts of him,
are running through my mind.

they call it the game of love,
because sometimes its misleading.
you find out he just let you win,
the whole time he was cheating.

in the end thats worse than losing,
you were so sure you made a pair.
then you find out there was no bet,
all he did was play unfair.

you should never trust your partner,
cause you know its all a game.
pay attention to their moves,
you'll notice they're all the same.

now he is your king,
who can never be replaced.
you think that your his queen,
but before you comes the ace.

someone will always beat you,
there is always a higher card.
there is nothing you can do to change it,
thats what makes the game so hard.
