Her Suprise

by Jacki   Aug 26, 2004

The tears genitally
glided down her cheek.
Her stare was blank &
emotionless.
But behind her dark
brown eyes, pain was
telling another story.

15 years old she had
just turned.
She woke up happier
than she has ever felt.
Finally she thought
they would give me
a little attention.

But they all ran
around in circles.
Frantic over there
everyday stresses.
Forgetting about the
little girl.
Forgetting today was
her birthday.

She went to her room
when the day was over
sat on her bed and
wrote a long letter.
She told her parents
she loved them.
She had no friends
her teachers ignored
her sitting in the class.
She felt all alone.
Ending her letter
that this is for the best
for both of us,
I'm just not wanted here.

In the morning
when they woke
they found there little
girl laying in her blood.
The child took her life
thinking nobody would
recognize she was even
gone.
Nobody cared
She never felt love.

But the surprise of
her birthday was
just about to come.
Her parents had
planned a trip for her
to go to Disney Land.
The place she had
always dreamed of
going.

But she took her life.
And her last tears
were that of grief.
She never got to
cry the happy tears
that she almost was
about to get.
