For Jennifer

by Stephen Levant   Aug 26, 2004

Ah, how well I remember the moment I first met you. You were a creature of the night. I fancied myself a dweller in the light. The smugness!

At first, there was nought but concern for you and the desire to see you liberated from your shackles.

I took a step and grew to love you. You became distant. Yet another step and, one fell in love with you.

This is the lot of the blind who consider themselves sighted. You are gone now but ever with me fore...there will always be a place in my heart for Jennifer.
