A memory

by Kay   Aug 29, 2004

she sits down on the bench they once shared
taking in a deep breath she closes her eyes
she hears her named called with the last name she dreams about
opening her eyes she sees them holding each other
smiling she watches them but silently she cries
they start wrestling and throwing grass as they laugh and shout
a tear rolls down her cheek and she gets up to walk away
she walks to the front of the school and sees them again
playing and laughing sitting on the ground waiting for rides
it begins raining and she sees them stand up and cuddle to stand warm
another tear slides down her cheek and she moves to the water room
stopping long enough to watch them kiss then down her lips the tear slides
she moves on to the hall way where you'd think kids would swarm
but all she sees is them hugging then she hears i love you
closing her eyes she moves on to her old home room class
sitting down in her old seat she drys her face then lays her head down
she hears her name called again but this time nothing more
tears start falling again landing silently upon the desk
her name is Called done more time and she lifts her head and looks around
getting up she walks slowly to the on she loves standing at the door
opening her arms she goes to hug her baby but they fade away, it was nothing more then a memory
