The price of gold

by Shane   Aug 29, 2004

A day without you
would prove to be fatal
child without bed
baby without cradle
If I were to lose you
I wouldn't hold
worth more to me
than the price of gold
Pessimism
rears it's ugly head
rather than consume me
you save me instead
When I hear your voice
my songs refrain
it saves me from
my internal pain
And when my heart feels
that you feel the same
it's like
beautiful rain
Rain without tears
destroy my one fear
the week ends
and Saturday nears
What can the future offer?
or tomorrow bring
none other than
the happiness sting
And in my dreams
a yellow rose
other colors
forget all of those
The price of gold
can't compare
to a part of you
your eyes, your hair
Don't deny
what you know is true
your beautiful
you make hearts new
Mine the most
since it belongs to you
you hold the key
and there's nothing I can do
Nor do I want to
stop it all
head over heels
with you I fall
