I can see myself
In your eyes
The pain rising up
Inside of me
Tears pricking my eyes
Devastated & broken
I lie at your mercy
I fall into the darkness
This darkness so deep
I die in my dreams
I cry in my screams
I live in my nightmares
Distorted faces of evil
Creeping up upon me
The pain rising up
Inside of me
I dance with the shadows
Blood over these stones
Your soft silken touch
Lingers like a waking dream
Trapped inside a living nightmare
Your golden voice
Echoes in this suffocating silence
The flame burning in your eyes
I find it flickering
You are my malady
I find me at your mercy
I fear I have lost you
Please say it's not true

    Good work. I loved the descriptions "Distorted faces of evil" and "Your golden voice" were my favorite. You put a lot of emotion into this poem, a lot of pain and fear of loosing someone you love. The vulnerability of the last two lines were powerful. A very touching poem, well done.
