Love, death, and reuniting..

by Kaitlyn   Sep 2, 2004

The night was cold, and dark it seemed
Though the moon shined bright and barely beamed
At that moment, she felt it was right
To turn away into the cold, dark night
Never looking back, never seeing again
His warm brilliant face, they’re love at an end
A single tear ran down his face
But there was no empathy, not a trace
He did this to himself, with all his lies
Now all the blood, began to dry
She slit her veins, as blood ran red
Knowing soon, she would be dead
He took his ring off her cold pale hand
Placing it next to his wedding band
Buried them together, 6 feet under
As rain poured down, and began to thunder
Now alone he stood in the rain
Slowly beginning to feel the pain
Tears streamed down his love-struck face
Wonderful memories began to race
The days together, the nights they spent
Through them all, he did not resent
Clock struck midnight, as he tried to steer
As the rain stopped, and the clouds cleared
Onto the bridge, and off the side
It all went black, the memories died
The car slowly began to fall
As the icy water washed over all
Slowly beginning to die, he smiled
Knowing heaven would be worth while
Now he knows, love’s as good as it seems
As the moon shined bright, and barely beamed…
