IMAGINE

by Travis   Sep 2, 2004

Can you imagine a world rid of evil and fear?
Just the thought, brings my eye a trickling tear,
How great it would be to live without sin,
A place for all to live happily in,

Imagine walking the streets at night,
Having your mind clear of all fright,
Think of not having to lock your house,
Maybe just to keep out that pesky mouse,

Imagine a place that is so grand,
That black and white could walk hand in hand,
Would it not be great if all could love?
No need to fight, to push or shove.

I would love to see a world like this,
My Lord, it truly would be bliss,
But alas, this place is far away,
The worlds in your hands, I have to say.

So when you see that older man,
Stop to see if he needs a hand,
And next time you go to have a fight,
Stop and think, this isn’t right,

Why do we resort to pain?
What on earth is there to gain?
You should embrace your fellow man,
Bring love to all, now that’s a plan!

I hope that you have learnt from this,
Unclench that fist, make up and kiss,
It was an accident, no need to sue,
Would you like it if it happened to you?

So make your life, joyful and true,
Spread the word far and wide,
Get everybody on your side,
Be careful what you say and do,

The future of this world comes down to you!
