Shadow

Body shaking with eyes full of tears,
No way to let out a mind full of fears.
Staring blankly as people walk by,
When they look they tis and sigh,
Reaching out to touch, no one cares,
She isn’t real, but you can see her there.
Emotions running, that girl leaves shivers in your bones,
No one knocked or looked to see if she was home.
If home is where the heart is she lives in hell,
This girl is so emotionally sick she’s physically unwell.
God blessed you torture blessed her,
A happier life I’m sure she would prefer.
Imagine you were walking past this girl screaming and pulling her hair,
Would you comfort her or keep going, ignore she is there?
She tried not to cry, to bottle her emotions away,
But as soon as you turned your back her tears were here to stay.
Forget her smile or any chance she’d survive,
There’s no hope now for as long as she’s alive.
Afraid to live not scared to die,
Her life will remain as a miserable lie.
Do you know who it is I’m talking about?
Do you remember her cry for help, how she used to shout?
This girl is me, there’s nothing more I can hide,
Couldn’t find anyone to reach out to so in myself had to confide.
