They say best friends are forever.
I guess that would have been you and me.
Yes would have as in your no longer here.
No longer here today.
How can they say best friends are forever.
People die.
People have to sometime in their lives finally whisper goodbyes.
Sometimes it's to the persons face,others it's on the phone.
It's hardest when you have to say goodbye not to a face.
Not even a person on the other end of the phone.
But to a memory which you alone own.
Whoever came up with that old saying.
Best friends forever?
It's not true we all found out one time or another.
Whether it's by death or some other.
Best friends are forever they may say to you but you know in your heart.
That's not always true.
