My only friend, is a blade how unique..

by Sammie   Sep 9, 2004

Lying astray in my dreams, never seeing really what I want to be.

Each time my blade slides across my delicate skin is like a vision, of the future, of my pain to come, which never ends.

My blade is my friend, the only friend I now have.

My best friend in fact, I know she won't turn her back on me, only support my wishes to be set free from this life.

I watch lifelessly as I drag my only friend across my left wrist.

Watching as my pain, the color of bliss slides down through my once innocent fingertips.

I smile cruelly at my fate, thinking of all the dreams I once had, how I lost them all in one single day.

I smile as I sink her deeper into my skin, not much longer until life becomes bigger than my will not to fully give in.

Not much longer until my body is left without a spirit, without the essence of me.

I smile at the thought of seeing you again, with open arms.

I can still hear the words you last whispered to me.

“Love is eternal but life is short lived, so don't give up, one day we will meet again”

I've grown impatient, so tired of waiting.

My friend is helping me fade away.

My razor blade is a gift in so many ways, gives me hope that I will again see you one day.

I lay here in my dreams, watching as crimson stains my sheets.

I think, are you still waiting, or have you given up?

Do you see what I am now?

I smile at the thought of you up in the clouds, lecturing me for taking the easy way out.

Death would be my best friend, but too bad I haven't met him yet.

I hope to be introduced one day, by my friend razor blade.

I slide her down my wrist, hitting a vein, a feeling of pure bliss.

I see death is calling; drawing me near, how I want to give in and just leave everything behind, leave everyone here.

So, as I take my last breath, I whisper, “please forgive me, but I just couldn't keep our promise..”
