Truth

by dawn   Sep 10, 2004

When will I speak?
How can I tell you the truth?
About who I am

I'm not this person
Who is standing beside you
I'm someone different

This person who you see
Isn't Me
I'm not like the rest

I stick out
I'm original
I'm not you or anyone else

I'm just me
I wish I could tell you this
But,I know I would be shunned
Because I dont follow in the footsteps of others

I want to walk my own path
It seems as if ending our friendship
Is the only way to do so

So this is "Good-Bye"
Because the real person inside me
Came out

Very artistic in the way you approach explaining and building up the story behind the poem. For me, I would work a little on the ending but obviously this goes down to the author.

I am someone who hates editing my own writing but I think the ending can be stronger.

Your a very talented writer for such a young person, I wished I had this talent at 14. 5/5 - My suggestion is that, so please don't think I'm being mean.
