Love is supposed to be beautiful

Rid this world of all that tastes of him... his poison kiss lingers on my lips

i wish he hadn't done me wrong
and even so i keep holding on

love is cruel and often places
heavy burdens on our shoulders that time cannot erase

withstand the pain and suffering
of watching him hold her close

envy floods my soul; its clear on my face, my cheeks are stained with falling tears

keep inside the confusion that overtakes my mind

he stares me straight in the eyes and lips the words " i love you" just as he tenderly kisses her lips

inside my heart shatters and i can feel a knot being tied in my stomach
