Mama

Why don't you love me mama?
i do everything you say
i always try to please you
with the start of each new day

i put away my laundry
i even comb my hair
but every time I'm crying
i find you're never there

why don't you hug me mama?
did i do something bad?
the other girl's moms smile
but you, you're always sad

i wish i made you happy
when no one was around
i try to make you laugh, mom
but i never hear a sound

why don't you want me mama?
i love you more than life
you call me your little burden
that has filled your life with strife

so take another sip mom
from your glass filled to the top
maybe i should quit trying
it seems that you'll never stop

why don't you love me mama?
i do everything you say
i always try to please you
with the start of each new day...

Awww This was a great poem.
    Everytime i read your poem,
i feel like my poems aren't good enough.
I guess i got a lot more work to do.

Despite the whole sad idea of the poem, I really like it, well, not that Im sayin the idea is bad, Id just rather read a happpier one, but then again Im in the sad poems section so yeah, well anyhow, like I said I like it, the way it was structured, and the repeating of the first few lines, great, makes the readers think theres much more, but its up to them to figure that out. Good one.
