Loving Lucifer

by SCARECROW   Sep 15, 2004

I only did this one because my friend said I should write something about Lucifer. So, why not? What do I have to lose?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dreaming for infinity and rather for necessity.
Awaking to imagery and also to reality.
By no means do I regret my nights.
Though the sleep it gives is only slight.
Running away from the accursed sunlight
I'm living my dreams in my fright.
Dying to kill but scared to hurt
so I dig my grave in the cruel dirt.
Surrounded by so many narcissists
the shadows give a play of myths.
Trapped in gallows for fear of revelation
I'm giving in to all my temptations.
The book of life is empty now.
Lucifer has made his vow.
He will steal my soul tonight.
He will store it safe away from light.
Caught by the son of the underworld
my wildest dreams have now unfurled.
Whispers that I can hear so easily.
Why did I give in so freely?
With bloodless hands he claws my skin.
He lives in fire but is ice within.
Smiling at me with eyes so lustful.
This dying will be much too beautiful.
