Ode to a Mystery Man

by Jackie Bilson   Sep 22, 2004

Note: I wrote this at the beginning of the year as a sonnet project...please be kind in your comments...I know its not great but, I just found this last night...:)

Close enough to see, too far to hold,
The boy with the shining hair of gold.
Eyes the color of the sea,
Tell me just how could this be?

Incredibly brave, earth-shakily loyal,
Gorgeous enough to be called 'Royal'
Very modest and just as kind,
What an 'Adonis' I sure did find.

I'm admiring you from afar,
You're so close and still so far.
How could I wish you felt the same?
When I don't even know your name...
