Liberator

by Amerimov   Sep 24, 2004

You are isolated
You build walls around yourself
To keep the peasants out
To protect you from the world

If I could scale your walls
If I could penetrate your mind
I would help you break free
I would show you the world

You keep yourself hidden
You make a fortress of lies
It amplifies your problems
It increases your pain

I will dissipate your fog of deception
I will join our two worlds
Together we can be free
Together we can be open

You are closed
You are locked
Your life cannot run free
Your mind is behind the door

We can break down the walls
We can kick in the door
Thoughts will be expressed
Emotions will be freed

A "5" totally. This is my number one, top of the stack, best of the best, will-continue-to-read-this-each-time-i-log-on-here favorite of all of your poems. I love what is says.. how it is said, why it is said, etc. I could give you a lengthy, nerdy, writers perspective on why i feel like this, but it is really a lot simpler than that...

i want someone to feel this way about me. period.
