FOREVER YOUNG

by Nat-a-Tat   Sep 26, 2004

Good times we shared
Great memories we had
Thinking about my youth
Makes me so sad

It was long overdue
It was far out of reach
We went back to Thousand oaks
We hung out at the beach

Saw all my old friends
Reacquainted myself with your family
Met new people
It felt so good being me

Many things have changed
Personalities differ too
Everyone looks so different now

But when you grow up
That's what people do

Didn't recognize a lot of faces
Would've walked right past them in the streets
Familiar were the places
Where me and you used to meet

I yearn for the days we were young
I long for the days we'll grow old
Forever young are my memories
Close to my heart I shall hold.
