Waiting

by Jackie Bilson   Sep 28, 2004

I think it's almost finished
The healing is almost done
I've suffered and now I'm free
Free to live again and have fun

Once bitten, twice shy
But you can't succeed if you don't try
This time it will be sweeter
This time I won't cry

But who's to win my affection?
Who's to sweep me off my feet?
What will this man be like?
More important, when will we meet?

Is there someone else out there for me?
Does he feel as alone as I do?
Has his soul been as tormented as mine?
Has he been through what I've been through?

Has his heart been crushed until he could no longer breathe?
Did he think his life has come to an end?
Did he blame everything upon himself,
And only now his heart did mend?

Wherever in the world you are,
Whoever you happen to be.
Please know that I'm right here.
Needing you to set me free.

I'll be waiting for you to find me
I'll be waiting for your call
I'll be waiting until I see your smile.
'Till you catch me from my fall
