Her picture

by blarg   Oct 3, 2004

I look at her picture
I stare down at her
scrutinizing her whole body
was she happy even then?

A pure glass doll of innocence

Now look at me!

What have I done to myself?
Were this changes part of maturing?
As if I am a fruit;maturing until I rot

saddening;inner tears of the soul

I look at her picture
Down at her smiling face

smiling through my grief
life marches onward

I don't even know what to say. It'san awesome poem but you seem to have so much pain. Or is it that that's just how you write. I really hope it's not your life you write about. Take care.

So much emotion is portrayed in this poem, and I love it. I can totally relate to this. A picture captures only one emotion ... but you never really know what a person is thinking or feeling and that's what this poem says to me. If thats not the message, forgive me. But I really liked it. Excellent Job!!
