So much has changed
since we drifted apart
there is no one here
to pour out my heart

you were always there for me
whenever I needed you
I don't know where you are
but I still miss you, it's true

you were the only one
who could lift my heart
to say how much you mean to me
I wouldn't know where to start

I still cherish the times we spent
and the pictures we took
remembering the good times
I could write a book

you always encouraged me
to be strong and never give up
now every morning I hear
those words when I wake up

I still think of you
with each passing day
I just hate the fact
that we live so far away

what happened to friends forever
and staying in touch
it's like you ran away
I cried so much

I just wanted to say
I still haven't forgotten about you
I wish the skies weren't so gray
I even miss them being blue

No matter what happens
you will always be my friend
because I made a promise
to be friends till the end

We may not talk as much
